Burning the Red Lights in the Okavango Delta.

One of the most exciting and intense diving locations I have ever worked in is the Okavango Delta in Botswana.

This image of Didier Noirot filming a Nile crocodile was taken in July 2009.

We were on a three-week shoot in the Okavango Delta with the Foster Brothers, Craig and Damon, and producer Sophi Vartan.

The goal was to tell the story of Diddier's quest to film Nile Crocodile underwater.

From this shoot, The Foster Brothers crafted a wonderful film called Into the Dragons Lair, which was first flighted on the Discovery Channel in 2010.

Moral of the Story - Who Dares, Wins"

As Didier is fond of saying, sometimes you have to burn the red lights to win in life.

Taking calculated risks at the appropriate time is a prerequisite for working your way up the gradient of life.

In this case, it created an opportunity for me to work with Craig and Damon Foster and cement a relationship and friendship that continues to bear fruit today.

In many ways, Into the Dragons Lair was a precursor to My Octopus Teacher.
